DRACOMARIS is without doubt the only stabilized Cheoy Lee 61 LRCMY that has actually proven it?s long range design capabilities, having been motored by its owners more than 15,000 miles over the last five years, voyaging from the East Coast of Australia to the Western Mediterranean.
Designed by Charles Wittholz and launched in 1983 and built to the Lloyds Register of Shipping LR Certification, it is the perfect long range live aboard motor yacht with 3 guest staterooms and 2 heads forward with a master stateroom with large shower and ensuite/head aft. The huge flybridge has excellent seating for entertainment or just enjoying the scenery whilst at anchor or under way. The pilothouse has a high level couch that seats four or provides a comfortable lie down for the skipper while on a long cruise.
In the pilothouse there is a 256 litre Utectic freezer, a Raritan icemaker and huge storage for charts. The galley features a massive 340 litres of refrigeration and a 90 litre freezer, both also Utectic, and all the usual appointments of dishwasher, combination microwave/convection oven, separate grill/fan forced oven, Insinkerator and Jennair combination BBQ with two hot plate unit, making entertainment a breeze.
The walk-in engine room provides easy access to the twin Detroit 8V71N main engines that have been de-rated for economy and range, a new 17KVA Onan genset and a standby 12KVA Onan genset. A Heart 2,500watt inverter provides mains power throughout the boat. All decks are 1? (25mm) teak and are in excellent condition. Five individual CruiseAir reverse cycle units service all interior areas except the engineroom. 12,600 litres of fuel in four tanks provides a range of 2,500+ miles and considerably more when running on one engine. The Naiad hydraulic stabilisers ensure a minimum of roll on a voyage.
A 230 volt Golo winch in a custom davit provides the launching of the Zodiac Pro4.2M center console inflatable with Mariner 40HP power trim/tilt outboard motor. Also stowed on the flybridge are two 50cc Honda Elite motor scooters providing easy mobility ashore, and for divers, a Bauer Junior dive tank compressor has yet to be used.
The cockpit is ideal for fishing and provides easy access to the tender via a large dive platform and water activity by stainless steel swim ladder. .
