Carinae was designed in Canada and built of steel to ABS scantling standards. She is 38m (125') LOA. 33m (108') LOD, 8m (26') beam and
3m (9') draft. Displacement, gross, is 110 tons with 18000 lt (4000gallons) of fuel capacity, 16000 lt (3500 gallons) water, 4500 lt (1000 gallons) in two holding tanks and a 2200 lt (500 gallons) fresh water deck wash tank. Using approximately 3 gallons per hours at 8 knots Carinae has exceptional range with full fuel. After a voyagefrom Hawaii to Vancouver, under power alone, she arrived with over 1000 gallons of fuel remaining.
Carinae is nicely finished as I hope you can see from the pictures but she is not a gold plated 'Mega yacht'. I tried to create the feeling
of being onboard a proper ship and I have heard that comment from a number of visitors. Below deck you will find stained, satin varnish finished edge grain Douglas fir, commercial grade wallpaper and brass fixtures and trim. Original and unique artworks highlight suitable areas. On deck white and chrome predominate while gray and blue accented upholstery are found.
Carinae is bright down below due to over 20 Lewmar Ocean hatches and light wall coverings. All of the electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems were completed in Vancouver using American or European components. The rig was also built in Vancouver. The standing rigging was from Switzerland.
Please see the list of features. It is fairly comprehensive but feel free to contact Boatmatch.com should you have any questions. Should you wish to examine
Carinae or have her surveyed please email me Boatmatch.com to make arrangements. Carinae is currently out of the water in eastern Canada.
