One of the best known classic boats built in the UK, Trevega was originally built by Camper & Nicholson for the twins Trevor and Geoffrey Glanville, well known keelboat sailors of their time. When the brothers were appointed joint Commodores of the Cowes based Royal London Yacht Club in 1970, Trevega was used to ferry guests to the club and her visitors book reads like a who's who of the yachting world at that time. Guest included HRH Prince Phillip, Lord Louis Mountbatten and Edward Heath amongst the 4000 guests who travelled on her. She was also the first boat to greet Sir Alec Rose on his return from his solo circumnavigation in July 1968. .
Service history: Full details on request.Major refit by Clare Lallows yard, Cowes in 1991 for her second owner, David Sheriff.The current owner is only her third. Refit in 1998 to include new fuel tanks and instruments by Peter Clarke of Mersea Island.Trevega's last full survey was carried out in 1998 (copy available).
