Technomarine Jaguar 57 1976 build, lying Manilva, Spain. Named 'Kamara', this Technomarine Jaguar 57 is a classic Italian designed and built flybridge motor yacht. Although she was originally built back in 1976, Technomarine Jaguar 57 'Kamara' enjoys very modern, sleek lines that still look contemporary over 34 years later. At the time she must have seemed very futuristic and still turns heads wherever she goes.
The Technomarine Jaguar 57 is traditionally constructed from wood. Her hull is solid mahogany up to the waistline, with marine ply forming the upper superstructure.
'Kamara' had an extensive refit in 2008-09. In addition to a full refurbishment of the hull and engines, the interior has been thoughtfully refitted to 21st century standards while being sympathetic to the original 1970's design and fittings.
Technomarine Jaguar 57 'Kamara' is ideal for liveaboard, whether it be full time or as an occasional stay. However, she is still more than capable of cruising the mediterranean as well. She has all the comforts of home including a full sized deep freeze, air-con unit for the main saloon, large flatscreen TV, UK satallite reciever, DVD-Video, built in 6 disk CD multiplayer, icemaker, etc. the list goes on!
'Kamara' last had a full survey in March 2009 and was lifted out again this year in June to have all anodes replaced along with a full clean.

The instrumentation and navigation has been extensively upgraded to modern standards too, she now boasts one of the latest Raymarine E80 GPS navigation plotters and integrated radar that has seperate displays for both lower helm and flybridge. The engine controls have been upgraded and are now electronic Morse 'fly by wire' units, instead of the original mechanical cable setup. She is also fitted with a Cetrek Autopilot system.

'Kamara' can comfortably accomodate six guests plus crew in three cabins. The main saloon can also simply be converted to sleep another two people if required.
Both main cabins feature en-suite facilities with hot and cold high pressure pumped water serving the sinks and two showers. All cabins include de-humidifier units to keep them fresh and dry. Toilets have both been upgraded to the electric type.

I purchased 'Kamara' at the begining of 2010. I had done an extensive search all over the Mediterranean for a suitable vessel and originally dismissed her as I thought she was a bit old. However, as I was in Spain to view another couple of boats with the broker, he suggested I go and see her. When I first saw her I was shocked! instead of an old 34 year old boat, all I could see was a beautifully refurbished luxury motor yacht with stunning lines. I was then presented with the extensive history and documentation including a glowing full out of water survey giving an insurance valuation of £135,000. There is also a disk with lots of pictures showing the refit in progress.
Also included is FREE mooring until Summer 2011 in Puerto De La Duquesa, Costa Del Sol.
