Engines & Propulsion

The ETAP 37s is supplied with a type D1-30 3-cylinder Volvo Penta marine diesel engine, equipped with closed-circuit cooling to ensure longer service life and greater operational reliability. The engine has a rated power of 20.9 kW (28.4 HP) at 2,800-3,200 rpm. The engine is highly efficiently mounted on a specially-designed mount incorporated into the inner hull, with rubberised mounting blocks to absorb vibration and attenuate engine noise. Access to the engine is easy through fore and aft hatches fitted with quick-release clips. Transmission is by Volvo Saildrive with a zinc anode, giving better vibration absorption and maintenance-free, watertight transmission through the hull. A fixed-pitch two-bladed Volvo Penta 16” x 13” propeller is fitted.
