Hildi is a boat which gave us great pleasure. Purchased originally for a world tour to 2, it became too small 5 years and 2 children later.
We equipped her very well in 2003 with equipment and electronic quality, worthy of much larger units.
We had also revised starts, and rebuilt a lot of parts and miscellaneous maintenance.
The traditional wood can be scary, but it actually requires no maintenance. We have released once the boat from the water in 5 years to rebuild a little caulking to Panama. There is always a little water in the hold, but the automatic pumps do their job very well.
The only work that requires consistency, are the exterior varnishes, but what a joy to sail on a beautiful sailboat.
The boat is very pleasant to the sea, the pilot never lets go, and the new sails grow very well (our best average, 540 miles in 3 days, loaded block).
New engine is also a big advantage.
That is a boat that has had 3 owners in 43 years, which are all maintained herself with love.
