Meltemi was purchased in Feb 1994 for family cruising and the odd club race. She has been cruised to the Channel Islands North and South Brittany and along the south coast between Brixham and Falmouth by ourselves and 3 children. She is a superb cruising boat fast yet easily handled. She has been raced at club level and has provided many enjoyable summer evenings racing.
Our children are now in their 20's and suprisingly enough do not come cruising with us anymore. Our reason for selling at this point is we want to concentrate on racing for a year or two.

Service history: Meltemi has undergone total refit in last few years-1995 - usual gk29 strengthening to stringers (done as a precautionary measure in meltemi's case not as a remedial measure)with main saloon bunks re-built & bonded to hull to give additional stength and provide dry lockers. all work done using west epoxy.Engine totally rebuilt 1995, serviced regularly since, 2002 new water pump fitted. Engine box re-built to improve engine access. New perspex windows. 2001 - Chart table area re-built with drawers under and new switch panels over, all wiring renewed where necessary and routed to new panels. All linings stripped out, woodwork sanded down to bare-wood and re-varnished. Companionway hatch timber and garage all removed and refitted with new sliding perspex hatch. New sobstad mainsail. 2002 - Galley area rebuilt with new work surfaces, ice box turned 90 degrees and additional insulation added. New storage formed under sink. New Nasa Clipper instruments fitted.2003 - Linings replaced with new foam backed vinyl throughout. Fore- hatch re-glazed by Eagle Windows and re-fixed and bedded. New standing rigging dec 2003, running rigging has been replaced at intervals over the years. Full osmosis treatment completed dec 2003. Decks repainted and teak treated with International Deks 1&2 dec 2003..
