Sleeping accommodation: Sleeps seven with Owner's cabin.Sleeping seven in 3 cabins, plus the saloon. The fore cabin has a large double berth and the main aft cabin also has a doub.e There is a third aft cabin which is used as a single cabin/workshop area.
Living accommodation: Saloon area is in teak, headlining in white. Uphlostery is blue and white. Centre fold out table, complete with drinks cabinet. Built-in T.V./VCR, multi system, radio and CD Player. The large teak/stroke shatterprufe glass skylight over the saloon makes the living accommodation light and well ventilated, complete with all solid brass portholes.Heads and Showers.
Galley: Open plan, very light and spacious and ample working area. Double sink, hot and cold pressurised system, complete with sea water tap. Hull, deck and keel manufactured by Nebe Boats in Cape Town, South Africa with Lloyd's certification. The interior was completed by a master craftsman in solid Burmese Teak and Yellow Wood. All finishes were of a very high standard. I purchased her in 1995 with 950NM, the previous owner having done very little sailing. Todate she has 12460NM. I completed a number of coastal passages off South Africa and then prepared her for the trip up the West Coaat of Africa. She is a very strong cuiser with a moderate keel and sails very well to windward. Absolute "trouble free" Cruising World Magazine voted her "Cruising Yacht of the Year 2001" in America. Her performance proves it. The Editor of the magazine purchased a Shearwater 39 -for further details - www.shearwateryachts.com A very traditional look with bowsprit and solid brass protholes with insect screens. She has always been admired by the people at various ports of call. She appeared in a major movie produced by an American film company in South Africa, the movie was called 'Stander'The large teak, shatterproof skylight over the saloon makes living accommodation light and well ventilated. She is fully equipped for a "walk-on, cruise-off" situation. It will be with much sadness that I say good-bye to her, but I will be moving onto other "pastures".
