Qualeena sailed from Hong Kong to the UK in 1999/2000 without a hitch. She is a very strongly built seaworthy boat that would be able to go anywhere. She has vast storage and tankage and is designed to take a small number of people a very long way. All equipment is over-specced and she is a thoroughly capable cruising boat. Qualeena is exempt from both VAT and the Recreational Craft Directive.
Service history: Qualeena had a £16,000 refit in 1999 (which included rewiring) prior to leaving Hong Kong. Many of her electronics were replaced in 1999 and 2000 (the radar has only seen 4 hours use). Her topsides were repainted in 2001 and she has been professionally laid up out of the water since her arrival in the UK. All running rigging and lifelines were repalced in 1999. Her furling gear and forestay were replaced in 2000. was on for £67000 sold for £60,000.
