Banoosh is a heavily, well built yacht capable of long distance sailing and ideal for live aboard. She is easily handled by two people (On mast furling and jib furling from cockpit) She has separate accommodation for three couples +. Storage is voluminous and there is full headrooom throughout. The saloon will seat 8 comfortably. She is also ideal for the Mediterranean as she is light and airy down below with a large cockpit at the stern. Engine accessability is very good and sound-proofing excellent.She is in a well appointed, good value marina in Turkey in idyllic surroundings.Marina fees are paid up to September 2003. The local cruising is excellent. Flights to Turkey are cheap and plentiful.
Service history: Banoosh was fully refitted and refurbished in the summer of 2000.We have boatyard bills (Yatlift, Bodrum)in excess of 10,000 dollars. The survey at that time emphasised that there was no osmosis or damage. It was epoxy treated to ensure it stayed in pristine condition.The list of work is extensive but included all hatches being replaced, all new windows, all winches and windlass being serviced, most of the seacocks being replaced, new varnishing below, all new upholstery, new VHF and log/depth/fishfinder,new fridge, batteries, much of the plumbing, some stanchions, main anchor and chain re-galvanised, new running rigging, etc. etc.. Since that time she has been used by us only for a few weeks a year. This yacht is ready to sail locally immediately. If ocean sailing is envisaged then new sails would be a good idea.
