Owner's Comments of the Sigma 35

The Sigma 35 replaced its elder sister, the 362, in 1991 and was aimed at the same cruiser / racer market. Hull design was by David Thomas with Bill Dixon designing the deck arrangement and interior layout. Rush performs well both in cruising and racing, having had an excellent racing record in Falmouth and the South West over the past 10 years or so with both the present and the original owner.

Rush has an excellent wardrobe of sails, all by North for racing including 3DLs for both main and No 1 genoa.

For cruising there is pressurised hot and cold water both to the galley and to the shower in the heads. There is a fridge in the galley and an Eberspacher heater with outlets throughout the boat. Upholstery and cushions are in excellent condition and the boat is carpeted throughout. There is an Autohelm autopilot linked to the wheel steering.

In 1995 a lead deep fin keel was added, designed by David Thomas. This is lighter than the standard keel and lowers the centre of gravity to give a greatly increased righting moment. There is a noticeable improvement in both upwind and downwind performance.

Rush is clean, tidy and in an excellent state of repair. Ready for any inspection..

Service history: Fully seviced November 2004 - Currently lying ashore.
