Living accommodation: Six Berths. Two in Forecastle. Three in saloon (port side converts to a double). One quarter berth. The upholstery was renewed with new foam and cover in 1998. The head lining was also replaced. New toilet in 1999.
Galley: New 2 burner, grill & oven (2001). Plug in 12 v Cool Box. .

I purchased Buran early 1997. I immediately replaced the engine, electrics & standing rigging and launched in April 1997. Since then she has been hauled out each winter for approximately 4 months when I have continued to work on and upgrade her. I have replaced, improved or overhauled most fittings from stem to stern. The list of replacements do not include all the small fittings that have been replaced.I have laid the deck gear out for short-handed sailing. All of the running rigging has been replaced since 1997 and the sails are all in good condition. I have cruised Buran in the Channel and South Brittany. She is a very “stiff” boat and does not “fall” over in the first puff of wind. Like all Sparkman and Stephens yachts she is a great offshore boat, the last owner did four Atlantic crossings.
Service history: Rudder bearings replaced 2002. Deck Gear/fittings: Genoa track replaced 1998. Lifelines replaced 1998. Lewmar mainsheet traveller (overhauled 1998). Windows removed overhauled and refitted over the last 5 years. Hatch spray hood cover new 1999. Deck repainted with two pack in Spring 2002. Cockpit replayed with two pack in Spring 2002. Rewired 1997 ( not all the mast wires were replaced). With many new fittings although some of the old light fittings were used. Nav. Lights and Tri colour lights replaced (2001). Engine: Betamarine 20hp. Fresh water-cooled. Fitted 1997. Shaft and propellor (Two bladed) Replaced 1997.
