Owner's Comments of the Cardinal 46

Scarlet is a highly customized version of the Cardinal 46 designed by Alan Warwick. She has a custom hull coring, a custom performance wing keel, a custom upgraded tall rig spar package with rod rigging, and custom deck equipment which all contribute to her superior sailing performance. Her 6' 6" draft lets her get into shallow waters and her wing keel coupled with her excellent lines and powerful sail plan make her fast, reliable and a pleasure to sail, even for a light crew.

She has a comfortable and safe cockpit and all the equipment and accessories to
make cruising a pleasure. Her awl-gripped flag blue hull, beautiful teak decks and low profile cabin house make her a stunning yacht. She has been much admired by other sailors.

We wish to be honest about the condition of this gorgeous boat. As you would expect in a boat of this age, some small areas of veneer have been wet in the past and could be replaced. We can supply photos showing where this needs to be done to put her in excellent condition - immediately below the hatches and in the galley area. Otherwise she is in amazing condition.

A thoroughbred boat which instills confidence. We have twice crossed the Atlantic, lightly crewed, and had planned to live aboard for several years. Reluctant sale now is due to ill health.
