Sealine Motorboat history

Sealine have been designing and building boats for over 30 years. Founded in 1972 by an individual boating enthusiast, Tom Murrant started with the belief that he could make a craft better than those available on the market, and built the company on this premise.
Sealine is run by people with a true passion for boating. With over 500 employees, the staff are highly skilled; many are marine enthusiasts themselves. Some have been employed since the development of the very first Sealine cruiser - the 23ft Continental. Sealine employees are specialists in their respective fields which include everything from mould-making, to wood and metal working, upholstery, lamination, interior design and naval architecture.

They are one of the few boat builders who run an entirely in-house operation. From the drawing board through to the finished product, every stage of design and production is carried out within Sealine's 350,000sq ft of covered workshops. Their current facilities span a fully integrated 14-acre site, including a state-of-the-art design and development centre, technologically advanced lamination plant, and purpose built customer facilities.
Sealine is currently one of Europe's largest production luxury boat builders, producing over 300 boats a year. The range includes 15 models spanning 25 to 60 feet from sports boats and flybridge cruisers through to luxury motor yachts. With an international sales and dealer network comprising over 40 dealers, Sealine has representation across the globe and are continually seeking to expand into new areas.

Over the years Sealine has won many awards – including motorboat of the year for the SC 35 in 2008, the F 34 in 2004 and the T 51 in 1998 from Motorboat and Yachting amongst many others.

Sealine Motorboat range

Sealine’s motorboat range includes 15 models spanning 25 to 60 feet and grouped as the Sealine S Series of sports boats and the Sealine T and F Series of flybridge cruisers and luxury motor yachts featuring Sealine’s unique Extending Cockpit System (SECS™), which lengthens the boat by up to 3 feet.

In January 2009 they unveiled the first of a new premium line of luxury motor yachts. The new line, to be known as AURA, combines spacious, high performance motor-yachts with the very best of modern interior design. The first in the new AURA line is Sealine’s flagship T60 and is the result of a unique collaboration between Sealine and Studio Conran. Commenting on the design collaboration Sebastian Conran said “working very closely with Sealine we have used every technique we know to make the T60 Aura feel special and spacious – offering the very best of modern interior design.”

In the T60 Aura, space has been optimised with practical, clever storage solutions. Subtly integrated technology provides flexibility, transforming the interior space of the Aura to suit the occupant’s mood, whether entertaining in port or cruising. Natural oaks, light finishes and furnishings throughout reflect light, helping to bring the outside in.

The S Series

The S-Series sports cruisers have a sense of adventure about them, combining performance with style. The award winning range of 6 sports cruisers and coupes spans 29 to 47ft, with each model boasting unique features such as the convertible roofed system on the SC35, and the twin stepped hull of the SC29.
