Princess has become one of the most respected names in the marine industry through dedication to the highest standards of design and craftsmanship. Careful consideration is given to every aspect of performance and safety and undiluted focuses on excellence in engineering has set the foundations for class leading design and build solutions that are at the heart of every princess.

Design and Craftmanship
Clean uncluttered lines and a masculine deep V hull give the Princess Marque an undeniable presence. To maximize the potential of the helm position the figure-hugging seats are positioned to ensure clear sight-lines and maximum visibility while accurate and responsive helm and throttle controls are placed within comfortable reach. The interiors are meticulously crafted to create a harmonious look, whether clean, cool and contemporary or classically opulent and relaxing. Bespoke timber furniture is produced in-house by a team of highly skilled craftsmen who bring the stunning designs to life with passion and dedicated attention to detail. In order to maximize space CAD software is used to identify non-structural areas of furniture where weight savings can be achieved. The superbly equipped galleys and luxurious cabins offer generous storage space in a fine balance of comfort, practicality and high quality finish. Wrap-around screens and intelligent window design are thoughtfully applied to both maximize visibility when underway and to optimize the flow of natural light within the accommodation space. Where they can be accommodated vertical midships portlights have become a signature feature on Princess craft, complementing perfectly the luxurious lower accommodations.

Performance and Safety
Underlying the elegant looks of a princess are pioneering advances in Hull design and construction to achieve higher speeds in safety and comfort, even in the most challenging seas. Propeller tunnels and hydrodynamic stern-gear provide improved propulsive efficiency and forward thrust, while also reducing draft. The effect of these tunnels keeps the boat more horizontal under acceleration, for an almost imperceptible transition from displacement to planning speeds, offering better visibility and control. Moulded spay rails roll water away to keep the boat dryer at higher speeds and reduce frictional resistance, while a revolutionary curved chine and optimal deadrise at the transom ensure a softer ride and assured, stable tracking in all sea conditions. Many larger Princess craft incorporate raised bulwarks to maximize the feeling of safety and security on deck. All the craft are designed to ensure ease of movement on board, with practical hand rails and wide side decks, a key element of Princess design philosophy. Extended stainless steel safety rails, moulded non-slip surfaces and teak decking ensure secure navigation around the boat, whilst toughened safety glass and clear forward screens optimize night vision. Every Princes is designed to be responsive and easy to handle, whether running at speed or within the confines of a busy marina. Electronic engine controls and, where necessary, power-assisted steering and powerful bow thrusters enable manoeuvring to be undertaken with absolute precision.

Excellence in Engineering
Each hull is hand laid using glass reinforced plastic and enhanced performance gel coat, with an initial lay-up of powder bound matt and isopthalic resin for important protection against osmosis. Areas of fiberglass accommodating through-hull fittings are given particular attention and increased torsional strength and insulation are achieved with balsa or PVC-foam coring. Every engine room includes the latest sound-deadening materials, while each model features a bespoke exhaust system, silenced and water-cooled, and configured both to minimize emissions and to conform to EU noise level requirements. Stainless steel propeller shafts rotate through dripless shaft logs to keep the engine room bilge dry and are electrically bonded to large anodes for full cathodic protection. Both composite and N4 marine grade alloy fuel tanks and polypropylene water and holding tanks are custom made to maximize the use of complex spaces available in the engine room and bilges, without compromising access to systems or impacting on living space.
