Prima 38 ;'Night Owl' arrived safely in Glückstadt on the river Elbe last week after her new owners sailed her back from Hamble on the UK South Coast. Her new owners bought her through boatmatch.com brokerage with a survey undertaken by Simon May of Boatcare Yacht Surveys, also based in Hamble.

The Prima 38', designed by Stephen Jones, is a performance cruiser with carbon rig and great lines. 'Night Owl' was a common sight in the Solent and on RORC races in her previous life culminating in a successful outing in the 2011 Fastnet in extremely flukey conditions.

Humphreys One Design 35' 'Zarafa' is now available for sale on boatmatch.com. Published in Motor Boats Monthly Dear Sir, when I decided to take the plunge and buy my first boat, I thought the best approach was to trawl the internet. Via email and on line forms, I contacted 17 brokers on 22 different boats I had seen advertised. I was amazed that only 11 even bothered to answer my e-mail, and that only five could supply any extra details or images straight away.

Boatmatch chocolate fudge cake 3 sq. unsweetened chocolate 2 1/4 c. sifted cake flour 2 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 c. butter 2 1/2 c. light brown sugar 3 eggs 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla 1 c. sour cream 1 c. boiling water Melt chocolate in a small bowl over hot water. Cool.

Grease and flour two 9 x 1 1/2 inch cake pans. Sift flour, baking soda and salt onto wax paper. Beat butter until soft, add brown sugar and eggs, beat at high speed until light and fluffy, about 5 minutes. Beat in vanilla and cooled melted chocolate. Stir in dry ingredients alternately with sour cream, beating well with a wooden spoon after each addition until batter is smooth. Stir in boiling water (batter will be thin).

Pour into pans. Bake at 350 for 35 minutes or until center springs back when lightly pressed with fingertips. Cool on wire racks 10 minutes then turn out onto racks.
