Arrival in Antwerp
After a sunny warm day sailing from Dover top Breskens, we overnighted in the narina before setting off up river at 0700 hrs to Antwerp on Thursday. After an interesting 40 mile motor up river we pulled into the linkeroever marina where we were given a great welcome by Jan Derboven, the harbourmaster. Jan could not do enough to welcome us and make sure we were settled before he left.
After finalising arrangements to ship his new yacht to Chicago, Tim left wth Ken to stay in Brussels for a night before flying home. All in all, we had an enjoyable trip in excellent company. Simon April 24th 2009 Picture of crew ( sorry Oliver, someone had to take it)
